In order to assist the public affected by COVID-19 and unable to pay taxes before the deadline (including the extension period), the eTax portal (https://www.etax.nat.gov.tw/) initates a new online service. The public can apply for tax deferral or tax installment payment on the eTax portal. Thus, they do not need to go to the tax collection agency in person.

This new service is convenient and rapid. The public can use their natural person certificates, registered health insurance cards, business certificates or organization and group certificates to log in to the eTax portal. Then they can select the service, application for tax deferral or tax installment payment affected by COVID-19. It is done after they enter relevant information and upload relevant attachments.
